Before you start

Does Bradley find preceptors for online nursing students?

Bradley's model is that you choose your preceptors: NP applicants list potential preceptors when they apply, the handbook expects you to arrange each practicum, and Bradley approves the preceptor and the facility. Our desk does the searching so the names you bring are ones Bradley can approve.

When is the Bradley preceptor packet due?

The current welcome sites say preceptor packets go through DocuSign by midterm of the semester before the clinical course. Bradley's 2017 webinars described roughly seven weeks ahead, so the current rule is the earlier one. No hours count before the semester starts.

How many clinical hours does a Bradley NP track take?

The 2026-27 catalog lists 750 hours in each NP specialty across four practicum courses, and every DNP reaches a 1,000-hour minimum with project hours. Some online pages still show older totals, which the program guides flag.

Who can precept a Bradley NP student?

Bradley's 2017 FNP webinar named nurse practitioners, MDs and DOs, with most hours under NPs, and ruled out physician assistants, CNSs and CNLs. The Professional Behaviors Policy bars family members. Your track's clinical packet in MyOnline carries the current rules.

Do you work with Bradley students outside Illinois?
