NUR 668: Management of Adolescents, Adults, & Geriatrics III

The final AGPCNP practicum in numbers
Bradley's current catalog gives the third management course, NUR 668 Management of Adolescents, Adults, & Geriatrics III, 6 credits and 300 primary care hours. You reach it only after BIO 526, NUR 600, NUR 651, NUR 666 and NUR 667, with the Nurse Practitioner Skills Bootcamp also behind you. Add 50 hours from NUR 655 and the two 200-hour management courses before it, and the track reaches 750.

The bootcamp gate
No bootcamp, no NUR 668. In the 2026-27 catalog, every AGACNP and AGPCNP program page, at every entry level, carries a single required on-site skills session, and the course description for NUR 668 makes finishing it a condition of enrollment. The session's dates, location and length for AG students have not been published.
Two related events carry similar names. The FNP Bootcamp, which the FNP welcome site calls the Nurse Practitioner Skills Workshop, fills two October days in Peoria and admits NP students from outside FNP. A continuing education page under that workshop name places sessions in Westlake Hall and invites both students and working nurse practitioners. No Bradley page says either one satisfies the AG prerequisite, so get the answer in writing from your academic advisor.
Once you know the dates, block them on your preceptor's calendar too, so travel to Illinois does not cost you clinical days. The AG skills bootcamp page follows the details as Bradley releases them.
Planning 300 hours
Three hundred hours is half again as much as either earlier management course, and the preceptor has to have room for it. Over a 15-week semester it averages 20 hours a week, about two and a half eight-hour clinic days. If the course runs in a single 7-week term, the load climbs past 40 hours a week, close to a second full-time job. Your MyOnline schedule shows which window applies.
The handbook's clock rules do not bend for a big course. Hours start counting on the semester's opening day, reach Typhon with patient data inside a week, pause entirely during a leave of absence, and spill into a semester break only for a student finishing an Incomplete whose lead faculty member agrees.
Telehealth may help with volume, under Bradley's telemedicine guidelines for FNP and AG students, but the handbook does not publish those rules. Ask course faculty before counting virtual visits.
Which total applies to you
The current catalog and the online page disagree on this course by 100 hours. The catalog is the 2026-27 academic record; the online page, still showing 200 hours and no campus residency, matches the 2025-26 catalog. Bradley has not explained the gap publicly, and the 750-hour change page lays out every piece of it.
Plan your preceptor around 300 unless your AGPCNP clinical packet or course faculty tell you otherwise. A preceptor who agreed to 200 hours and is then asked for 300 is a harder conversation than one who planned for 300 from the start. Students admitted under an older catalog year should have their advisor confirm which hour figures appear on their own Program of Study.
BSN-to-DNP students have one more number to check. The DNP catalog pages count 1,000 total hours, but 750 specialty hours plus the 300 in the DNP project courses adds to 1,050.
After the last clinical day
For MSN students, the Graduate Student Handbook makes passing the exit exam in NUR 690 Professional Aspects of Advanced Nursing Practice the comprehensive assessment; certificate students have none. DNP students meet it by completing the final DNP project proposal, then move into NUR 841 through NUR 844, which add 50, 50, 125 and 75 hours with a mentor guiding the project. Bradley's catalog prepares AGPCNP graduates for the AGPCNP certification exam offered by ANCC or AANP; the online program page lists ANCC or the AANP certification board. The handbook warns that a diploma alone does not deliver a state license or a national credential, which stay in each board's hands. Keep your Typhon logs current through the last day, since Typhon is the system Bradley uses to monitor clinical hours.
When the final practicum slips
A slow start in NUR 668 pushes your graduation date directly. Bradley's 2026-27 university calendar ends fall on December 19 and spring on May 15, both commencement days, and summer on August 20; the semester calendar page has the full grid, including the nursing rules for Incompletes.
An Incomplete is the usual bridge when hours run short, and it has to be requested, not assumed. The department's bar is high, with most of the coursework already done and a B-level standing, and its deadline reaches only into the following semester, so a late finish in this course can move you to a later commencement. Keep the outer limits in view too: the catalog's nursing page gives MSN students five years from enrollment and DNP students seven.

Is Bradley's NUR 668 300 hours or 200 hours?
The current catalog says 300, which lifts the AGPCNP track to 750. Bradley's online AGPCNP page still shows 200 and a 600-hour total, in line with the 2025-26 catalog. Plan a preceptor who can host 300, and confirm the figure for your cohort with course faculty or your academic advisor before anything is signed.
Can I start NUR 668 without the skills bootcamp?
Not under the current catalog, which lists the bootcamp among the course's prerequisites, so plan to finish it first. The online AGPCNP page still describes the track as having no campus residency, a leftover from the older curriculum. If you started under a previous catalog year, your advisor can say whether the bootcamp appears on your Program of Study.
Can I split NUR 668 hours between two preceptors?
Nothing Bradley has published speaks to dividing a single course. Each preceptor and site needs its own approval before any hours count, which means separate packets and agreements. If one practice cannot offer 300 hours inside your term, ask course faculty whether a second approved preceptor is acceptable, and file both packets by the same midterm deadline.
Which certification exams can I take after NUR 668?
For AGPCNP graduates, Bradley's catalog names the AGPCNP exam from ANCC or AANP, and the online page words it as ANCC or AANPCB, the AANP certification board. Graduating is a step toward those credentials rather than the credential itself; each state board and certifying body applies its own rules and application steps.
What happens to graduation if I finish NUR 668 hours late?
Your graduation waits for the final grade. An Incomplete can buy time into the next semester if you meet the department's conditions, and break-time hours under one still need the lead faculty member's approval. Plan the recovery with your academic advisor, and see delayed graduation for ways to re-plan the remaining hours.
