Bradley University NP clinicals for Nebraska nurses
All four of Bradley University's online NP specialties now meet Nebraska's licensure education requirements in Bradley's current state table, and three of them are recent: PMHNP, AGACNP and AGPCNP read NO in the March 2025 copy. Nebraska leaves graduate clinicals to the school, so your part is a valid license and a preceptor Bradley can approve.

Nebraska's row, and what changed in it
Bradley's current licensure table, found through bradley.edu/state-disclosures, shows YES for Nebraska in every NP column. The family nurse practitioner answer matches the March 2025 copy. The other three are new: an archived copy dated March 28, 2025 showed NO under Psy/Mental Health, Geriatric - Acute and Geriatric - Primary.
Nine states flipped in those columns, Iowa and Missouri among them. Bradley dates neither the change nor the table, so look again when you apply and before each clinical year.

What Nebraska DHHS regulates, and what it leaves to Bradley
Nebraska's nursing oversight sits in DHHS, within the Division of Public Health's Licensure Unit, and its approval work covers pre-licensure schools, which must reach out to the Board before teaching NCLEX-track students in Nebraska. Programs for nurses who already hold a license fall outside that oversight whatever the delivery format, so a Bradley NP student faces no Nebraska approval step before clinicals.
Two DHHS positions still bear on Bradley's side. Following NCSBN, DHHS locates educational practice wherever the student physically is, expects faculty to be licensed in that state and wants anyone teaching APRN students there to hold a Nebraska APRN license. Preceptor qualifications for post-licensure programs are the school's call, so Bradley's standard decides.
Watch one administrative change. Until mid-2026, DHHS rosters named a standalone APRN board; the rosters dated July 15 and September 15, 2026 place APRN members on the nursing board. Nothing in statute yet confirms a merger, so ask DHHS which body issues APRN licenses when your turn comes.
Where Nebraska NP students look for preceptors
AANP ranks Nebraska as a full practice state with a transition period: a new NP first completes 2,000 hours under a supervising provider. If a recently certified NP offers to precept you, ask where they stand in that stretch. Bradley publishes no minimum years, so your track's clinical packet in MyOnline settles it; the preceptor standard covers the rest.
CHI Health and Nebraska Medicine rank among the state's largest systems, as do Bryan Health and the Nebraska Methodist Health System, while Children's Nebraska is the pediatric system, a natural place to ask about the pediatric exposure FNP students build in NUR 678. No Bradley page names the systems it holds agreements with, so each is a lead to pursue, not a known site.
Close to 890,000 Nebraskans live in the Omaha metro, which reaches into Iowa, around 350,000 in Lincoln's and about 78,000 in Grand Island's.
Licenses, the Iowa side and the one trip east
The compact has covered Nebraska since January 19, 2018. A Nebraska multistate license covers hours at home; an Illinois-only RN needs Nebraska's, since Illinois never joined. The RN license page has Bradley's version of the rule. The separate APRN Compact is not law in Nebraska, and your NP license will be a Nebraska one.
Iowa is a compact state too, so a multistate license may reach a practice across the river from Omaha. Bradley's handbook still treats it as a bordering-state rotation for your advisor or the department chair to clear before the semester.
FNP students make one required trip east: Bradley's two-day FNP bootcamp, held each October in Peoria and completed before NUR 679. The AG tracks now list an on-site skills bootcamp before NUR 658 and NUR 668, dates unpublished. Plan clinical weeks around it with the FNP bootcamp page.

Can Nebraska residents apply to Bradley's online PMHNP now?
Bradley's current table marks Nebraska as meeting requirements for PMHNP, reversing the NO shown in March 2025. Bradley publishes no reason or effective date, and its catalog asks applicants outside Illinois to confirm it has permission to offer online study in their state, so check both with admissions before you apply.
Is a CHI Health or Nebraska Medicine clinic a sure spot for Bradley clinicals?
No site is automatic. Bradley does not list which systems hold agreements with it, and every facility and preceptor needs Bradley's approval plus a clinical agency agreement before your first hour. Some big systems add a student request process of their own; the agency agreement page explains Bradley's side.
Can I log clinical hours across the river in Iowa?
Possibly, with approval first. Iowa is a compact state that also reads meets for all four Bradley NP tracks, but Bradley's handbook treats any clinical across a state line as a bordering-state rotation. Bring the idea to your advisor, or to the chair of nursing, ahead of that term, and confirm your license covers Iowa.
How many clinical hours do Bradley's AG tracks require?
The 2026-27 catalog lists 750 for AGACNP and AGPCNP, while Bradley's online AG pages still say 600, an unresolved conflict. DNP students reach 1,000 with project hours. Plan on the catalog figure and confirm with your academic advisor; the 750-hour change page sets out both numbers.
